On a mission to reinvent the spirit of adventure, Lynq wanted to design a unique device that would ensure loved ones can easily keep track of each other.
Lynq sought our expertise in designing a simple user interface for the new device. Created for children, parents, athletes, and members of the armed forces, the tracker needed to be easy to set up and use. We were also tasked with defining the Lynq brand and creating the website to grow the community and boost sales.
Much like the first mobile phones, the screen was made of large pixels with a black and white screen so the interface would need to be small, yet visible from a distance. Our challenge was to create the best possible user experience using a single button.
After an extensive exploration phase, we ensured the single button could function in different ways, including one short click, two short clicks, and one long press. The art of simplicity was essential.
